Rush is the process Fraternities here at Purdue use to recruit potential members.
During rush, fraternities will have events for everyone to attend. Some of the most common ones include an open house, a cookout, etc. This year Phi Kappa Theta's Fall 2008 Rush Events will begin Aug. 24th and end on Oct. 2nd. A list of our rush schedule will also be available on the local greekvine.
Fraternity rush is an exciting time for both the Brothers and the new potential members. The Brothers get a chance to see the best Purdue has to offer in its potential members and you, the potential member, will be instantly connected to people on campus. Fraternity Rush is also an opportunity for people to see alternative housing outside of the university dormatory.
Bottomline, it can't hurt to try. So get out there and give Rush a try!
If you have any questions/comments/concern about rush, please feel free to contact our rush chairman Seth McAnespie - (740)475-7707 or smcanesp@purdue.edu.
